I didn't bother getting past the intro before giving up--there's no option to speed up the text and if that's how it's going to be through the entire game, then you'll be lucky if anyone bothers to get through it to actually play the game. I'm sure it's a great game, but I wouldn't know because of it. give us an option to click the mouse or hit a button to get all of the text in one shot, PLEASE.

megadrivesonic responds:

I have removed the typing sound script which should make the game run smoother on browsers and not abysmally slow like before.

this isn't new or interesting at all. the music is decent, the graphics are okay, but... it's just, as other reviewers have said, Bejeweled. something more original would get you more stars, but... this is anything but original.

turtlesf responds:

Well, I won't make another Match 3 game any time soon. I had a random strong desire to recreate a certain positive experience I had with match 3s... okay, Bejeweled 2 (space, 3d rendered gems), and few indie ones (obstacles, powerups, matching into blank spaces).

those damned starfish. *grumble*

this is a pretty decent game--maybe if you made a sequel with better graphics, more/better gameplay, and more updates, you might have a big hit on your hands? I really like this a lot, tho--good job. :)

ilovedemongirls responds:

Thank you! And trust me, I hated the starfish so much I turned them off during development, haha. :D

er...

I'm curious: what was your handicap for the NG Game Jam?

this game wasn't too good or too bad--taking into account that you only had 72 hours to work, its flaws are pretty forgivable.

look below

very well done and a big help for noobs.

the main thing that has me hooked to your submission is the Zelda song with the drumbeat added to it. that's got little to nothing to do with the actual FLASH, but I just wanted to say, firstly (before I go into the flash itself) that the song is very lovely. who did it, what is the title of it, and where can I find it?

okay.. that's done, so now onto the actual flash content.

tutorials may not be "actual movies/games" like some people say, but they are a necessity, especially here on Newgrounds where people spit out crap instead of taking the time to learn how to use Flash properly and give us something worth watching.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this from you--this is very well done and is going to be a big help to me once I actually start being brave enough to start making flashes of my own, so I thank you madly from the bottom of my little heart for making it.

Helbereth responds:

The music is all credited in the credits sequence (which can be paused). There's also a direct link in one of the easter eggs (look in the masking section). The music clip in question is from a remix done by Trinity over on ocremix.org called "The Goddess Appears".

hooray for gobstoppers.
